Grasse, France — a town perched in the hills of Provence, where time seems to linger in
the air as gently as the scent of Jasmine at dusk. For centuries, it has been the beating heart of perfumery, the birthplace of creations that travel far beyond its cobblestone streets. For us, coming here was not just about travel. It was a long-awaited dream, a pilgrimage to the very roots of fragrance.
Our journey led us to the historic Fragonard Institute, a place as captivating as the perfumes it inspires. Run by a family business since the 1920s, Fragonard is not only one of the most celebrated perfume houses in Grasse but also a name that resonates across the South of France. The institute itself feels like a world suspended between tradition and artistry — elegant halls filled with sunlight, centuries-old tools on display, and an unmistakable atmosphere of devotion to craft.

There was something deeply personal about this for ANNUR. As a brand that started off as family business back home, stepping into Fragonard felt instantly relatable. We understood the heartbeat behind their legacy — the desire to carry forward not just a product, but a story, a passion, and a dream that binds generations. Supporting a business that shares these values felt like a full-circle moment, a reminder that no matter where we come from, the language of dedication is universal.
Inside the classroom, we learned under the guidance of one of the finest perfumers. Ingredient by ingredient, we were introduced to the treasures of the world — Roses from Turkey, Bergamot from Calabria, Sandalwood from India, Jasmine and Lavender from right here in Grasse. Each essence was like a passport stamp, a fragment of culture, distilled into liquid poetry.

The highlight was when theory transformed into creation. We mixed our own perfumes on the spot, experimenting with notes, learning to find balance between the bold and the delicate. To watch our vision turn into something tangible — something that could be worn on skin, remembered in memory — was nothing short of magical.
Grasse has always been a dream, but to study here, to learn in the very cradle of perfumery, was an absolute privilege. The experience left us not only with knowledge but with a deeper sense of connection: to the land, to the craft, and to the shared values of family, passion, and legacy.
As we walked through the Jasmine-scented streets of Grasse one last time, we couldn’t help but feel this was only the beginning. Perhaps one day, with what we’ve learned and the dreams we carry, we too will leave our own mark in the perfume world.
Grasse has given us more than a Diploma — it has given us inspiration, and the belief that family-rooted dreams, when nurtured with passion, can resonate far beyond borders.
